The “Nagaland Empowerment of People through Energy Development” (NEPeD) was formed in 2007 by the Government of Nagaland, with full autonomy as an independent registered society (NGO), to address the energy challenges in the state. This multi-disciplinary team were given the mandate of installing Hydrogers all over Nagaland in order to provide cheap, clean and green energy to the rural farmers/villagers. The team is currently implementing indigenous “Made in Nagaland” Hydrogers both within and outside the State.

Today, NEPeD continues its mission to make electricity available to beneficiaries in feasible sites with greater zeal by installing the “Made in Nagaland” Hydrogers. These machines coupled with the unique locally manufactured Electronic Load Controller (ELCs) has proved to be a boon to the beneficiaries of the NEPeD project.
